In 2006 I was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. This was devastating to my whole family. Whenever I was told about Magic Moments and what they do, I was beyond excited!
For my Magic Moment, I chose to go to Disney World and to swim with the dolphins. Since Discovery Cove was so close to Give Kids The World (which is the incredible village we stayed in) they combined the two. Needless to say, my family enjoyed every last moment on the trip.
Magic Moments made wishes come true in a time of the unknown; where medical bills rolled in, and a time that I was not as healthy as I once was. For a while, it was like cancer ceased to exist in our minds. For that, I am so very grateful.
I am now 26 years old and I am battling a new cancer. However, I hang on to the special memories that Magic Moments gave me. And I serve a loving God that has a plan for my life!
